Single family homes provides you privacy and they are everywhere!
By far the most popular living option is a Single Family Home. The owner will not only own the home, but also all of the land that came with the sale. Most homes have fenced in back yards with cement block to give the back yard some privacy (except when you have two story homes nearby!). Most of the homes are located in areas with Home Owners Associations (HOA), but non-HOA homes can also be found in our area. The only restrictions on your home are contained in the HOA CC&R’s if you are located in an area with an HOA. Those CC&R’s could restrict the type of landscaping, the exterior color and look of the home, pets, and activities that can or cannot be done on your property.
A single family home could have been built by a builder on just one lot, or it could have been part of an entire subdivision that the builder built, or it could be in a Master Planned Community where the builder purchased one of many subdivisions to build their homes. Master Planned Communities provide additional amenities and a common form or theme to a large area (like community trails, a clubhouse, community pools, golf or tennis, and activities).
